Help for cancer kids Frankfurt is an organization that was founded by parents children with cancer. They realized that many problems and fears they faced couldn't be solved by people that did not have a child with cancer. Medical help for their children was not always optimal and there was little psychological help for children and parents that had to live with cancer. They founded the organization and started to help each other. As time passed, they began to help more and more families cope with the disease. Even today you can only become a regular member of the organization if you have a child with cancer.

We chose this organization because it is small, has passionate members, has an almost non-existent organizational overhead and has direct connections to the nearby university hospital. Kids are our future and while grown-ups can sometimes deal with health-problems quite well, the pains of a chemo-therapy are even harder to bear for children.
